Why do I need a website?
If you own a business, a website is a necessary communication and advertising tool. Most people do Internet searches when looking for information or contact information for a business. A clean, well-designed web site will draw customers to your business, and help people obtain information without having to make a phone call.
A personal web site can help you keep in touch with family and friends, whether through a blog, photo gallery, or whatever you need. A great supplement to a Facebook or Twitter account!
How much will it cost me?
A basic custom site with a blog and some personal design can run around $500, with additional features such as photo gallery or shopping cart adding more to the price. An average small business site will cost approximately $1500. Contact us for a custom quote.
Are there any other costs?
Once a web site is built, it needs to be hosted. We have arranged a deal with a hosting company that allows your site to be hosted for as little as $180/year ($15/month). This fee is payable yearly, and frees you from having to deal with a separate hosting company to handle technical problems - we will take care of it for you. If you require updates to your website on a weekly/monthly basis, an additional monthly charge will apply. (Note: For photo galleries, shopping carts, blogs, and other installed software, you will be able to update the site yourself, so you do not have to pay an additional monthly fee!)
How long does it take to design a site?
A small, basic site can be created in as little as 10 hours, while a more complex site can take 40-50 hours of work. Since this is not a full time job for me, this can translate to a week to several months of work, depending on my workload and the requirements of the site. I strive to complete a site as quickly as possible, and special arrangements can be made if you require a web site on a priority basis.
